Description

OFTAlipid, is a Medical Device for ophthalmic application consisting of a sterile, slightly hypotonic saline solution with physiological pH, preservative-free, with combination of medium molecular weight sodium hyaluronate and liposomes, packed in 0,5 mL single-vials.

Liposomes in combination with hyaluronic acid provide a functional support to the ocular surface, reconstituting the lipid layer, used for limiting and controlling the tear film evaporation. OFTAlipid is also able to regulate and improve the lubrication and hydration of the ocular mucosa.

OFTAlipid is recommended to relieve from ocular redness, dryness and tiredness caused by dry eye syndrome in particular caused by the inadequate quality of the lipid layer of the ocular surface, by environmental stress (dust, allergens, smoke, air pollution, air conditioned) and by ocular stress due to prolonged use of the computer, television and video terminals. The product can be use even by contact lenses wearers, without having to remove them, to improve eye lubrication and comfort.

Instructions for use

1. Open the protective foil
2. Wash hands thoroughly before use.
3. Separate the monodose vial from the strip and open it by turning the cap.

6. Store the unused vials in the original foil pouch.
7. The product is for single-patient use, to avoid potential contamination.

Warnings

The product is for ophthalmic use only, do not ingest or use beyond the indicated use.
Once opened, the container must be closed with the appropriate cap and the residual solution must be reused within 12 hours from the opening, to prevent possible contamination of the product.
Keep out of reach of children.
Do not touch the eye or other surfaces with the nozzle of the vial during installation.
Do not use the product in case of known incompatibility to even one single component of the formulation.
If necessary, check with your ophthalmologist for the compatibility of the eye drops with the contact lenses used.
In the event of an adverse reaction during use, immediately suspend the treatment and contact a doctor.
Consult your doctor for pediatric use and for use during pregnancy and lactation.
Treatment with ophthalmic medications or other ophthalmic medical devices should be carried out under the supervision of a doctor who can assess the possible interactions.
If the surface of the eye is compromised or the cornea is damaged, consult your doctor.
Do not use the product after the expiration date indicated on the package.
In the event of any serious claims or incidents concerning the device, it is necessary to report the incident to the manufacturer and to the authority of the Member State in which the user is established, to provide more information on the safety of this medical device.
The product contains soy.

Validity

36 months with the package intact.
